GDPR Information
Last updated: April 2026
This page explains how the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to your use of tidioreviews.com. We take data protection seriously, and this page supplements our main privacy policy.
What Is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation is a data protection law adopted by the European Union in 2018. It governs how organizations collect, store, process, and share personal data belonging to individuals located in the EU and European Economic Area (EEA). If you are an EU/EEA resident, GDPR grants you specific rights over your personal data regardless of where the organization processing that data is based.
Legal Basis for Data Processing
We process limited personal data on this site under the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interest — We use basic analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular, and how we can improve our content. This processing is minimal and does not override your fundamental rights.
- Consent — Where we use cookies beyond those strictly necessary for the site to function, we obtain your consent first through our cookie notice. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies or adjusting your browser settings.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information through normal site usage.
Data We Collect
We practice data minimization. The personal data we process is limited to:
- Server logs — Your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited are recorded in standard server logs maintained by our hosting provider (Cloudflare). These logs are retained for a limited period and used for security and performance purposes.
- Analytics data — Aggregated and anonymized usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. This helps us understand which reviews and content are most useful.
- Cookies — Strictly necessary cookies for site functionality and, with your consent, analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (also known as special category data). We do not operate user accounts, comment systems, or forms that collect personal information beyond what is described here.
Your Rights Under GDPR
As an EU/EEA resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal data.
- Right to erasure — You can request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it.
- Right to restriction of processing — You can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — Where technically feasible, you can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — You can object to our processing of your data based on legitimate interest. We will stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
- Right to withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at:
Email: privacy@tidioreviews.com
Please include enough information for us to verify your identity and clearly describe your request. We will respond within 30 days, as required by GDPR. If your request is complex or we receive a high volume of requests, we may extend this period by an additional 60 days, but we will inform you of any extension within the initial 30-day window.
There is no fee for exercising your rights in most cases. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse the request, but we will explain our reasoning.
International Data Transfers
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare operates a global network, which means your data may be processed in countries outside the EU/EEA. Cloudflare maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and adherence to data processing agreements that meet GDPR requirements.
We do not independently transfer your data to third countries beyond what occurs through our hosting and analytics infrastructure.
Data Protection Contact
If you have questions or concerns about how we handle your personal data under GDPR, contact us at:
Email: privacy@tidioreviews.com
We do not currently have a formally appointed Data Protection Officer, as our data processing activities are minimal in scope. However, all privacy inquiries sent to the address above are treated with priority.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You can file a complaint with the data protection authority in your EU/EEA member state of residence, your place of work, or the place where the alleged violation occurred.
A list of EU data protection authorities and their contact details is available on the European Data Protection Board website.
