Tidio Lyro AI Agent Pricing

How Lyro AI Agent pricing works — the conversation slider, free allowance, trial, and the contact-sales tiers, with the traps to avoid.

Lyro is the AI agent inside Tidio, and its pricing works differently from the rest of the platform. Where Tidio's base plans bill on billable (human) conversations, Lyro bills on Lyro AI conversations — a separate usage meter you size on a slider. This page focuses on that meter: what a Lyro AI conversation is, what the published price ladder actually looks like, and where the "contact sales" line sits.

For the full editorial review of how Lyro performs — setup, resolution rates, strengths, and weaknesses — see the Lyro AI Agent review. This page scores the pricing: how fair, transparent, and predictable it is.

The pricing model in one line

Lyro is a usage-metered AI agent. You pay for a monthly quota of Lyro AI conversations, chosen on a slider that starts at 50 and tops out at 1,000. Above that ceiling it becomes a sales conversation, and the highest volume tier switches from a flat quota to pay-per-resolution billing.

A "Lyro AI conversation" is any conversation where the AI sends at least one response — whether or not it resolves the issue or later hands off to a human. That is an engagement basis, not a resolution basis. It matters when you compare Lyro against per-resolution vendors like Intercom's Fin: you cannot convert one number into the other without knowing the resolution rate.

The Lyro AI conversations slider

The self-serve calculator lets you pick a monthly AI-conversation quota. Every published stop:

Self-serve Lyro AI conversation quotas. Annual billing is roughly two months free versus paying monthly.
AI conversations / moMonthly billingAnnual billing (per-month equivalent)
50$39/mo$32.50/mo
100$75/mo$62.50/mo
150$110/mo$91.67/mo
200$140/mo$116.67/mo
300$210/mo$175.00/mo
500$350/mo$291.67/mo
750$525/mo$437.50/mo
1,000$700/mo$583.33/mo
1,000+Contact sales

A few things worth knowing about this ladder:

  • The floor is "$39/mo" for the 50-conversation stop, or $32.50/mo when billed annually. The pricing page tends to surface the annual figure as the headline "starts at" number.
  • The self-serve ceiling is 1,000 conversations ($700/mo). Push the slider past that and it changes to "More," which routes you to sales rather than showing a price.
  • This ladder prices AI conversations only. Lyro standalone does not add a per-seat charge here — seats are a Tidio help-desk concern, not a Lyro one.
  • The per-conversation rate drifts down as volume climbs (from about $0.78 at 50 to $0.70 at 300), but the absolute monthly bill still rises steadily.

Free allowance and trial

  • Free allowance: your first 50 Lyro conversations are free — but this is a one-off, lifetime allowance, not 50 per month. Once they are used, they are gone unless you add a paid quota. No credit card required to start.
  • Free trial: Tidio offers a 7-day free trial. When it ends, accounts auto-downgrade to the Free plan unless you upgrade.
  • Annual billing: paying yearly works out to roughly two months free (~17%) versus monthly, which is what the annual-equivalent column above reflects.

The one-time nature of the free allowance is the single most common source of surprise in reviews — people read "50 free conversations" as monthly and are caught out when it does not refresh. Budget for a paid quota from the start if Lyro is doing real work.

Above the slider: the contact-sales tiers

Once you need more than 1,000 AI conversations a month, there is no published price — it is a sales conversation. Three tiers sit up here.

Plus (for teams)

  • Contact for pricing — there is no published monthly Lyro price at this tier.
  • Adds custom AI-conversation limits, up to 10 AI Actions and up to 10 AI Guidance, plus Departments, Multiproject, custom branding, ticketing automations, OpenAPI, a custom number of seats, and a Dedicated Success Manager.
  • Do not read the "€749/mo" Plus figure as a Lyro price. That platform floor is tied to custom billable (human) conversations, the Dedicated Success Manager, and custom limits/seats — it is not the cost of a Lyro AI-conversation quota. An earlier reading that mapped €749 to a 5,000 AI-conversation bundle was simply wrong.

Premium (high volume)

  • Contact for pricing, positioned "from 3,000 Lyro AI conversations."
  • This is where billing shifts to pay-per-resolution rather than a flat conversation quota, so the tier deliberately carries no published monthly floor.
  • It advertises a guaranteed 50% Lyro AI resolution rate. Read that carefully: it is a committed resolution rate, not a money-back guarantee. (Fin's guarantee, by contrast, is money-back.)
  • Adds over Plus: from 10 AI Actions, from 10 AI Guidance, Mobile SDK, AI insights and CSAT, Super admin role, custom analytics, Lyro as a managed service, Slack support, compliance, and SSO.

Enterprise

  • Contact sales only. A fully customizable AI automation setup across support, sales, and lead generation, built for scale and compliance.

What you get at the entry tier

The starting Lyro quota is not stripped down. A paid Lyro quota gets you:

  • Product recommendation engine
  • Lyro for emails
  • Basic analytics and a custom Lyro name
  • 2,500 Open API calls (scales to custom at Premium)
  • 100 MB file upload limit
  • Support for 48 languages

Two Lyro capabilities are gated by your base Tidio plan rather than the conversation quota: AI Actions start with the first Action free and rise to up to 10 on Growth and above (10+ on Premium), and AI Guidance runs to 5 on Free through Growth and up to 10 on Plus. Lyro also works alongside Copilot, Tidio's separate AI assist for human agents.

Reading the price honestly

A few cautions if you are budgeting or comparing:

  • Engagement and resolution are different meters. The slider bills on engaged conversations (any AI reply); Premium bills on resolutions. Never silently convert between them when comparing vendors.
  • The 50% guarantee is Premium-only and is a committed resolution rate, not a refund promise.
  • The self-serve product stops at 1,000 conversations / $700/mo. Anything higher is a sales conversation, and 3,000+ is explicitly the Premium pay-per-resolution tier.
  • Currency appears as printed — figures show up in both USD and EUR (for example €749) with no conversion applied.

Verdict

Lyro's pricing earns a middling score from me — competitive where it counts, but rough around the edges. The entry price is genuinely good: $39/mo for 50 conversations, dropping toward $0.70 per conversation as you scale, undercuts per-resolution rivals like Intercom's Fin for most volumes. The self-serve slider is transparent all the way to 1,000 conversations, so you can size and predict the bill without talking to anyone.

What drags it down is the same thing that frustrates reviewers: the one-time free allowance masquerades as monthly, costs scale linearly so the bill climbs faster than teams expect, and everything above 1,000 conversations disappears behind "contact sales." The Premium tier's shift to pay-per-resolution and its committed (not money-back) 50% resolution rate add another layer you have to decode. None of it is predatory — but it rewards buyers who read carefully and punishes those who skim. Size your quota deliberately, treat the free 50 as a demo rather than a plan, and it is fair value.

Where this fits

If you are weighing Lyro against the rest of Tidio's cost, the general pricing guide covers the base plans and the human-conversation meter, and the free vs paid breakdown shows how the add-on stacks on top of a subscription. To test Lyro before committing, start on the free plan with the one-time allowance or use the 7-day trial.
